I stayed at Le Coq D'Or in Brive for 5 nights during a 2-week holiday. The hotel's location was fantastic, right in the city center with easy access to shopping and nightlife. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly, speaking excellent English. The rooms were clean, had good wifi coverage, and the air conditioning was a bonus on hot nights. The attached bar served an excellent breakfast and had a charming tree shaded terrace.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

Had an amazing time during Easter at this hotel. The friendly staff ensured our stay was comfortable and enjoyable, providing excellent service throughout. The hotel's central location was a major plus, with easy access to shopping, nightlife, and public transportation. The rooms were clean, and the wifi coverage was strong, perfect for staying connected. The attached bar with a tree-shaded terrace was a great spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring.
To our stay. The breakfast options were limited, with only beverages and basic pastries available.

The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of the city, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The attached bar at the hotel served an amazing breakfast, which was a great way to start the day. The atmosphere around the hotel was lovely, with a charming character that added to the overall experience.
The manager of the hotel was unhelpful and arrogant. We had an issue with the lack of soap in our room, which meant we couldn't shower before our early departure.

Great location, friendly people, basic service
We found a cozy corner at this hotel, with a huge tree providing shade in the courtyard. The room was clean and comfortable, with crisp sheets and a good-sized shower. The air conditioning and double glazing kept out the noise. The location was ideal, near all the bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for its charming atmosphere and convenient location.

I had a delightful stay at a charming hotel in the heart of a picturesque town. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that my needs were met. I loved the antique furniture and the rustic vibe of the place. The hotel's courtyard facing the town square was the perfect spot to soak up the enchanting French evening ambiance. Plus, there were numerous options for dining and entertainment in the surrounding area. I highly recommend this hotel for a couple of nights' stay.

Charming small hotel with character, located in the heart of the city. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and offered good value, with effective air conditioning and reliable wifi. The attached bar with its tree shaded terrace was a nice bonus. The central location allowed for easy exploration of the city and there were plenty of nearby parking options.
Breakfast was not available as promised and the staff member who eventually opened up was rude and aggressive. there was a lingering smell of smoke from the bar downstairs in the room, and the bathroom extractors were loud and constantly on.
